Christmas is even more magical at the beach! With plenty of sunshine and a good chance of some warm days, December is a great time to visit. And, there are plenty of awesome things to do while you’re here.
Parades and Santa and More…
Boulineau’s is proud to announce our Saturday breakfast with Santa events. For three Saturdays in December (7th, 14th, and 21st) children will be treated to a free donut while they visit Santa in our lighthouse seating area upstairs. Each child will receive a free toy as well. You are also welcome to take photos. You can learn more by visiting our website here.
On Saturday, December 7th beginning at 5:30 pm, you can enjoy the Annual Christmas Parade on Main Street here in North Myrtle Beach. Set up your chair anywhere along Main Street and enjoy this beautiful display of floats, marching bands, and so much more. Boulineau’s will be participating and we have plenty of candy and goodies to hand out along the way.
Do you have a special fur baby in your life? You can have your pets photographed with Santa. This event takes place on December 7th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at the NMB Sports Complex. For more information, click here.
The annual tree lighting at McLean Park is slated for December 3rd from 6:00 until 7:00 pm. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, click here.
Lights and Music
You will definitely want to check out the Christmas Light Show at the NMB Sports Complex which officially opens on November 22nd and runs through December 30th. This spectacular annual event features over 2 million lights on a 1.5 mile long course through the park. After taking the tour, visitors are encouraged to park their car and visit Santa’s Village where you can enjoy snacks, hot chocolate, and get an up close look at the lights on the Santa Express Train Ride. This year, Boulineau’s is a proud sponsor of this awesome event. Admission is $15 per car load and more information can be found by visiting their website. www.greatchristmaslightshow.com.
The Christmas Cantata is an annual tradition and for many the highlight of the holiday season. Church choirs from the North Myrtle Beach area join to create a musical program you will not soon forget. This event takes place at Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church; 6th Ave. S. & Hillside Drive on December 7th at 3:30 pm and December 8th at 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm. Tickets are required for admission and are available at the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce.
